Record year for FerrariFerrari this year not only won its 15th Formula 1 constructors' championship and saw its driver Kimi Raikkonen clinch the drivers' title, but it also had a record year for sales.

''The latest figures we have confirm that this is going to be a record year with more than 6,000 cars sold and our trading profit should be around 15% of turnover,'' Ferrari General Manager Amedeo Felisa said on Wednesday.

Felisa made his remarks on the sidelines of the Bologna Motor Show where the new 430 Scuderia, a special series based on the F430, made its official debut.

The new car is an extremely high-performance two-seater packed with Formula 1 technology and is on show with a Ferrari Formula 1 car beside it.

Also on display are the F430 and the 599 GTB Fiorano, the most powerful production V12 car ever built at Maranello, along with the F430 Spider and the 612 Scaglietti, the current GT flagship.

Ferrari this year marked its 60th year and was also voted ''Best Place to Work in Europe 2007'' in a survey by the Great Place to Work Institute, which polled employees in over 1,000 companies.
