Structure able to generate energy from solar, biomasses - The farm will be built on the grounds of the 'Enrico Avanzi' Interdisciplinary Agro-Environmental Research Centre in San Piero a Grado (near Pisa).
An agreement was signed between the University of Pisa, ENEL, Ente Parco di Migliarino and the Centro interuniversitario di ricerca sulle biomasse.
The Renewable Energy Farm project will be part of a package that includes the construction of a solar energy park.
Collaboration between the various entities will create innovative projects for the diffusion of renewable energy sources, with particular emphasis on thermal and electric energy produced by biomasses, solar and solar-thermal sources, as well as energy produced by first and second generation bicarbonate liquids.
Plans include educational programs about renewable energy directed at the public, businesses, and university and high school students.
