Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi on Wednesday became a Lazio player for life after signing a five-year contract extension.
Rocchi, 30, told his website he was ''delighted'' with the deal, which will reportedly pay him 1.2 million euros a year.
Rocchi had been in contract talks for months.
After last year's spell in the Champions League Lazio have had a miserable season so far, languishing in 13th place in Serie A, just five points above the relegation zone.
The ex-Empoli forward was earning just 600,000 euros a year and talks to renew his contract and improve his wages repeatedly stalled.
Earlier this week Rocchi said he would stay at the club if there was a reasonable prospect of winning something.
''I just want what the fans want. I don't think I'm asking the world. If the key players extend their contracts and there are good new signings then I am ready to extend my deal,'' he said.
Rocchi, who has hit 57 goals in 121 appearances for Lazio, scored a brilliant winner at the weekend in Lazio's 2-1 win over Sampdoria at the Stadio Olimpico.
Rocchi has three Italy caps but is yet to score for the national side.
