Flash News - A large rockslide hit a car park in the northern Italian Dolomite mountains early on Friday but no one was hurt, Italian rescue services said.
Early reports said some hikers had been pulled out of the slide but later reports said it had hit no one.
The car park was at first believed to be empty given the time of year but when the dust cleared some cars with German licence plates were reportedly found near the slide.
A "huge mass" of rocks and earth came down from the side of the Cima Una mountain and spread a "massive" cloud of dust through the underlying valley, eye witnesses said.
The 2,600-metre Cima Una is one of the many famous peaks in the area, which is a favourite vacation spot for German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Rockslides are fairly common in the Dolomites but this was one of the biggest for years, civil defence sources said.
