AS Roma will play Manchester United in the Champions League group stage a year after the 7-1 drubbing it received from the English club at Old Trafford.
The draw for the CL groups, held in Monte Carlo, also put Roma up against Sporting Lisbona and Dinamo Kiev.
Reigning European Champions AC Milan found themselves in a group with Shakhtar, Benfica and Glasgow Celtic, while cross-town rivals and Italian champs Inter will meet PSV Eindhoven, CSKA Moscow and Fenerbahce.
Lazio, the fourth Italian team in the tournament, have a tough draw with Real Madrid, Werder Bremer and Olympiakos.
The opening matches are scheduled for September 18-19.
