The flowing football that has gained AS Roma a fine start to the season received high praise from Serie A rival Juventus Monday.
"Roma is showing (people) the best play in Europe," Juve coach Claudio Ranieri said on Italian radio.
"It has an incredible midfield duo with (Alberto) Aquilani and (Danilo) De Rossi," Ranieri added.
On the home front, Ranieri acknowledged that Juventus was "still in a construction stage" after a year's penance in Serie B.
But it was "definitely aiming" for the scudetto at the first bite, he said.
The coach admitted that Cagliari "put us under the cosh" in Sunday's 2-3 win and that the second-half arrival of Italy winger Mauro Camoranesi "changed the game round, 100%".
Roma followed up a 0-2 win at Palermo by beating Siena 3-0 with ex-Lyons star Ludovic Giuly a notable addition to its strike force.
Giuly notched his first goal of the season Sunday after Aquilani hit a wonder goal, before Golden Boot winner Francesco Totti sealed the match with a solo effort.
Roma and Juve - 5-1 winners at Livorno on Day One - are the only teams on six points after two matches but they could be joined by either Milan or Fiorentina who face off at the San Siro Monday evening in what has been billed the first crunch match of the season.
Serie A now takes a week off because of Italy's key Euro qualifier against France in Milan on Saturday.
On September 16 Roma visits Reggina, Juve hosts Udinese, Fiorentina hosts Atalanta, Milan travels to Siena while Inter - which had two-goal Zlatan Ibrahimovic to thank for Saturday's 0-2 win at Empoli - entertains Catania.
Brazil star Adriano was left out of Inter's Champions' League squad after refusing a loan to regain form and quell lifestyle concerns.
In a fresh blow, the mayor of the Lake Como town where Adriano lives said Monday he would have to "investigate" neighbours' complaints about night-time revels.
