Milan's Brazil ace Ronaldo is looking good and should be back soon to help jumpstart the Rossoneri's stalled Serie A campaign, coach Carlo Ancelotti said at the club's midseason training camp in Dubai.
''Ronaldo has been one of the most positive players over the last few days,'' said Ancelotti, who is under pressure as the European champs continue to languish in mid-table.
''He's physically OK and his fitness has markedly improved,'' said the coach, whose attacking options have been restricted to Filippo Inzaghi and Alberto Gilardino because of the Brazilian's recurrent injury niggles.
Ancelotti said the 31-year-old 'Phenomenon' would probably play part of Tuesday's friendly against a United Arab Amirates side, the culmination of Milan's morale-boosting ten-day spell here.
For the second half of the season, following the arrival of 18-year-old Brazilian sensation Pato, ''we'll finally have four strikers on hand, as intended at the start of the season,'' Ancelotti said.
Milan, 25 points behind runaway Serie A leaders Inter, restart their campaign at home to Napoli on Sunday night.
Ancelotti did not say whether Ronaldo or Pato were in the frame for an immediate start.
Looking farther ahead, Ancelotti acknowledged that Milan's February 20-26 Champions League second round clash with Arsenal would be ''extremely tough''.
But Milan's hopes of retaining its Champion League crown is ''certainly not a utopia''.
