Ronaldo is set to make his long-awaited return from injury, AC Milan Deputy Chairman Adriano Galliani said Tuesday.
"Ronaldo is doing well and if he looks sharp enough he should be on the roster for our next match against Empoli on October 21," Galliani said.
Serie A is skipping the weekend of October 13-14 because of Italy's Euro 2008 qualifier against Georgia next Saturday.
The Brazil legend, 31, pulled a hamstring at the end of July and his return date has repeatedly been put off amid trips to see doctors in Belgium and Brazil.
There was an early-season flap as the 'Phenomenon' reportedly blamed Milan staff for underestimating the extent of the injury but the row was soon settled.
Milan have been keen to get Ronaldo back as they struggled to find the net in Serie A, slumping to the bottom half of the season after four draws and a loss.
But they appeared to have turned things round in a 5-1 win at Lazio Sunday, with under-fire striker Alberto Gilardino scoring twice - his first goals since April.
Ronaldo will still provide a valuable alternative to Gilardino and veteran goal-poacher Filippo Inzaghi, coach Carlo Ancelotti says.
"Even if he's not 100% Ronaldo is always a threat," Ancelotti said.
