Italian bookmakers will no longer take bets on the Serie A title as long as Inter Milan keeps its huge lead over second-placed Roma, the SNAI betting organisation said Monday.
SNAI said that as things stand, with Inter 11 points ahead, it cannot offer ''attractive or dignified'' odds for the championship race.
It said it would review the scenario if Inter's lead is cut ''over the next few weeks''.
Serie A has played 23 games. There are 15 matches left until the last day of play on May 18.
Inter had an 8-point lead going into the weekend. It beat Livorno 2-0 at home while Roma lost 1-0 at Juventus, widening the gap to 11.
