Sky Italia won't cushion its subscribers from the government's planned hike in pay-TV VAT from 10% to 20%, the company said Monday.
''If the measure is approved by parliament, every subscriber will see his fee go up by 10%,'' the company said in a statement.
Earlier on Monday Sky Italia's CEO, Tom Mockridge, had suggested the company might in part shield its 4.7 million subscribers from the effect of the hike.
