New European Footballer of the Year Kaka' of AC Milan is ''an example on and off the field,'' Milan CEO Adriano Galliani said on Monday.
''I'm pleased that the editor of France Football stressed that the prize is not just given for skill on the field but also for fair play off it,'' Galliani said on his return from Paris.
''So Kaka' is the perfect Ballon d'Or winner''.
Asked if he thought fifth place for Milan playmaker Andrea Pirlo was ''right,'' Galliani replied ''I'm not a member of the jury''.
But he voiced satisfaction that, as well as Pirlo, Italy placed five other players in the top twenty: Francesco Totti (10th); Filippo Inzaghi (16th); Paolo Maldini (18th); and Gianluigi Buffon and Gennaro Gattuso (joint 19th).
