The two Italian aid workers taken hostage in Somalia on Wednesday morning are alive and well, their Italian NGO said after managing to talk with their captors.
Iolanda Occhipinti, 55, and Giuliano Paganini, 64 (not 66 as first reported), ''are well and have not been subjected to violence,'' said the NGO, Cooperazione Italiana Nord-Sud (CINS).
