If you have always dreamed of dancing through the night in a magnificent location the June Tango Festivals on Capri [Campania] and in Siracusa [Sicily] are for you.

The festivals are not competitive as the aims are to learn, dance and have fun. You will be able to watch famous tango artistes and take lessons from expert teachers.

The Capri Tango Festival runs from 18th - 21st June and offers milonghe [tango parties] all day long in central locations and at night at Le Canzone del Mare in the Marina Piccola, the resort where sixties celebrities stayed and from which you can see the Sirens’ Rock.

The Siracusa Festival runs from 24th - 27th June and the backdrop for the daytime events is the eleventh century Castello Maniace.
In the evening the Festival moves to the Solarium Zen, on the sea. Lesson costs are reasonable, starting at €45.00 for two classes.

Booking is necessary for both festivals and you can find more information on the Siracusa Festival here and on the Capri Festival here.

Have you ever danced on an Italian beach?
