'That's what i want' says Ancelotti

''That's what I wanted,'' said Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti after his team got its first league win of the season to lie four points behind leaders Inter and Juventus.

''The difficult moment is over,'' he said, recalling Milan's lack of pace and form in its opening two defeats.

''I'd sign a blank cheque to have a Milan like that all season,'' said the coach.

''It's hard to lose if we play like that,'' he said, referring to the 4-1 home win that knocked Lazio off the top perch.

Chairman Silvio Berlusconi said he was looking forward to next weekend's Milan derby.

''I want the team to give me a birthday present,'' he said, referring to his 72nd birthday next Monday.

Berlusconi confirmed Milan's aim was to win the scudetto and the UEFA Cup.

''I played my part,'' he said, referring to big closed-season buys like Ronaldinho and Andriy Shevchenko, ''and now it's up to them''.

Milan will be aiming to get closer to the leaders in Wednesday's first midweek games when it travels to Reggina.

Inter hosts Lecce and Juventus hosts Catania.
