Third place for Italy in FIFA rankings

Italy remained in third place in FIFA's August world ranking which saw the top five positions unchanged.

Brazil kicked Italy out of the top spot last month after a five-month reign.

Italy was also overtaken by Argentina last month.

In this month's standings, Croatia overtook the Netherlands, while Spain and the Czech Republic both put Portugal behind them and pushed Mexico out of the top ten.

The most spectacular riser was Iraq after the underdog unexpectedly won the Asia Cup last month.
