Albania must help stabilise the Balkans, Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said after talks with Albanian counterpart Luzmil Basha here Monday.
''It is no longer the time for Albania to be helped but for it to contribute to the stabilisation of the region between the Black Sea and the Adriatic, which is crucial for Europe,'' Frattini said.
''Up till now Albania has been a consumer of security and now it must become a producer of security,'' he said.
