Roma's chances of snatching the Serie A title from Inter are gone, Roma skipper Francesco Totti said Tuesday.
Totti said he had ''a lot of regrets'' about the season that is drawing to a close, where Roma missed several chances to catch Inter.
He said he thought Inter would clinch the scudetto by beating Siena on Sunday.
A win would make sure Inter keeps a three-point lead, making the last day of the season academic because of Inter's better head-to-head record against the Romans.
''I think the Nerazzurri will win on Sunday. I have a lot of regrets about the championship but that's football,'' Totti said at the Rome Masters tennis championships.
Totti, who has missed Roma's last three Serie A games because of an April 20 injury to his right knee that required surgery, said he was on the mend and expected to be back for the start of next season.
''Physically, I'm feeling better,'' he said, adding that he also intended to start playing tennis again as soon as he could.
The Roma icon was at the Foro Italico to see his friend and admirer Roger Federer begin his bid to stop arch-rival Rafael Nadal picking up a record fourth straight title.
