AS Roma skipper Francesco Totti is still suffering renewed pain in a knee that required surgery in April and has been ruled out of the Romans' trip to Palermo Saturday on the second weekend of the Serie A season.
But he should be available for Roma's debut in the Champions League against Romanian champions CFR Cluj Tuesday night, they said.
Totti has shaken off an ankle knock that kept him out of the opening day draw with Napoli.
Coach Luciano Spalletti will also be without Italy midfielder Simone Perrotta and Portugal defender Juan but will have Brazilian winger Rodrigo Taddei back on the roster.
