Totti wants man u revengeRoma captain Francesco Totti is determined to avenge last year's 7-1 Champions League humiliation by Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Speaking on his 31st birthday Thursday, Totti was asked about Saturday's Serie A big match against fellow leaders Inter Milan.

"To be quite honest I'm much more focused on Tuesday's game against Manchester," he replied.

"I felt so bad after the Old Trafford disaster. I was depressed," he said.

"We were already looking forward to the semi-finals, wondering whether it would be better to face Milan or Bayern.

"It really hurt".

"That's why we should be approaching Tuesday's game as if it were already a quarter-final or semi-final. If we show the determination we've shown in this start to the season we can play a great match".

Totti may claim the United date is uppermost in his thoughts but his remarks indicated he was at least as focused on the Serie A title.

"I think we can do it again this year," said the on-fire skipper who last won the scudetto in 2001.

"Roma is more cynical, more competitive this year than last," when the Romans finished second.

"Of course everyone is saying Roma is favourite now. If we carry on like this it'll be hard to stop us".

"I'd be happy to wait till May for my birthday present".

Asked who Roma's main threats were, Totti named the two Milan teams - despite AC Milan lying five points adrift after three straight draws and a defeat at Palermo Tuesday night.

On Saturday the Roma defence will have to cope with on-fire Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has scored six goals in five games including a brace against Sampdoria Tuesday, two more than Totti who failed to add to his tally in Tuesday's draw at Fiorentina.

Roma-Inter may be the main attraction this weekend but with the leading seven now separated by just two points, Juventus, Napoli, Palermo, Atalanta and Fiorentina all have a chance of going top.

Fiorentina travels to last-placed Livorno on Saturday night while on Sunday Napoli host Genoa, Palermo travel to another bottom side, Empoli, and Atalanta goes to Sampdoria.

The Turin derby between Torino and Juventus ends the weekend play on Sunday night.
