AS Roma captain Francesco Totti has vowed to make Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson regret snubbing him in Wednesday night's Champions League quarter-final first leg clash.
The snub came after the quarter-final draw when Ferguson failed to mention Totti in a list of Roma stars he rated - an omission the Italian media has suggested was not accidental.
"I accept Ferguson's point of view, but, as coach (Luciano) Spalletti said, he'll see who Totti is in person," said Totti, a member of Italy's World Cup-winning team.
"I hope he'll remember me".
The striker, who leads the Serie A top-scorer standings with 18 goals, also took a pop at England and its football.
"I don't like England," he told SKY. "I don't like English soccer, even though great footballers play there, and I don't like the weather, which is always grey".
Totti said he was proud to have reached the last eight of Europe's premier club competition.
And he is confident Roma can progress further still: "This match comes at the right time, we are in shape. It's a positive period".
The 30-year-old, who has supported Roma since childhood and has never played for another club, also said he was not afraid that the Red Devils would try to mark him out of the game.
"Other teams have always put me in a cage (of markers) - so much so that I think I'll work in a zoo when I quit playing," joked Totti.
Roma are without suspended Chilean playmaker David Pizarro and injured left-back-cum-midfielder Max Tonetto.
Italy's other remaining Champions League contender, AC Milan, entertain Bayern Munich on Tuesday night - in a rematch of last year's quarter-final encounter which the Milanese won 5-2 thanks to a thumping 4-1 win at the San Siro.
It is a clash between two sides that are trying to make up for disappointing domestic campaigns with European glory.
Bayern Munich are fourth in the Bundesliga, while Milan are sixth in Serie A, four points adrift of the Champions League qualification zone, after drawing 1-1 with Roma on Saturday.
What's more, they are 35 points behind runaway leaders and cross-town rivals Inter, who stretched their lead over second-placed Roma to 20 points Sunday with a 2-0 win at home to relegation strugglers Parma.
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti on Monday said he hoped to beat Bayern and set up an all-Italian semi-final against Roma.
"That would mean an Italian side would make the final for sure. It'd be great," he said.
Ancelotti is tipped to field a 'Christmas tree' 4-3-2-1 formation on Tuesday.
Sacrificing a forward may help Milan counteract the aggressive, physical Bayern midfield. It should also make the most of the ability of players like Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf and Kaka to hog possession with slick passing.
Alberto Gilardino is favourite to play as the lone striker after scoring Milan's equalizer against Roma.
Filippo Inzaghi, who is seeking his 56th goal in European competition, should be called up if Ancelotti instead opts for a two-pronged attack.
Brazil star Ronaldo is cup-tied because he played for Real Madrid in the competition this season before moving to Milan in January.
Captain Paolo Maldini will probably lead the back line, as the knee pains that kept him out of the Roma match have eased.
His partner in the centre of defence should be Alessandro Nesta, who played superbly Saturday in his comeback from four months out with a shoulder injury.
Roma's return leg in Manchester takes place on Tuesday April 10.
Milan meet Bayern in the Bavarian capital the day after.
