Hi, I am hoping that there is an Umbrian geometra out there who can clarify for me whether I am entitled to any government funding to help with house repairs post 1997 earthquake. I bought the house in 2000 not knowing that my neighbours had applied for grants for repairs. They are receiving funds from the government but I have been told that since I was not in the house at the time of the earthquake I must contribute to the building works out of my own personal funds. Help, building works are almost complete and I am expecting a huge bill any day soon. Any ideas gratefully accepted. I am told by the commune that if I do not pay my share then my house will be sold to pay for the building works. What to do?:eeeek:
