I have just returned from a week in Italy, having found my current house-sitter had done a fantastic job of dressing the place, using all sorts of design ideas that I would never have thought of.
He is an artist, and is painting a series of canvasses of our neighbour's cantina, together with a portrait of said neighbour, which he intends to exhibit in an Enoteca in Macerata.
He used to be in advertising, but has lately thrown it all over to devote himself to painting. He is a great cook (I've never eaten so well on home cooking!) and came to Italy to start a restaurant, which didn't work out but is no reflection on his skills.
Anyway, I though I'd mention him in case anyone is interested in having an artist's input into their property. He does murals and acrylic canvasses, and also throws a mean party!
