theres an exhibition just started in the palzzo venezia rome of a collection of russian held castell pottery which has been sent over to Italy for one of those sort of travelling exhibitions... most of it i believe from 300 or so years ago... its funny to think of that small village town having such an importance in the world so long ago...even now when you visit its hard to believe how this small area set beside the mountains could have managed to come of note to anyone...
so if your visting rome it will maybe be worth a look... but if you live in abruzzo the exhibition is first coming to Teramo and then back to its origins... Castelli... before returning to Russia...
the museum at castelli is attached to the school of Pottery and its a pleasant place to visit as not only past pottery is on dispaly but very current thinking from the students at the school
