10641 Rieti

maybe some decides to visit Rieti. There are some good restaurants/trattorias to try.
Baccus (off via Centorini)- Apuglian food; great seafood (zuppa di pesce to die for; you need to order them ahead of time and the price is right)
Centro d'Italia (via Tulio Crispolti)-lovely atmosphere, great regional specialities, good house wine and low prices (you need to speak italian, because there is no menu to look through; and the Pepe, the waiter, speaks fast)
Bistrot (via San Ruffo 25), recommended by the Gambero Rosso guide. We had a lovely degustation menu there--about 10 little dishes, from cold to hot appetizers, salads, vegetables, meat, desserts. With a bottle of red wine (recommended by the owner) we paid 100 euros. Not a bad bargain:smile:. The down side: the tables are very close to each other so forget privacy.
