I just read a post about Piadina.
In the inland area, around Urbino they make a flat bread similar to Piadina that is called Crescia Sfogliata (in Urbino and Fermignano) and Crostolo (in Urbania).
It's made with flour, eggs, lard and pepper and made into layers (kind of rolled pastry style) by smearing the dough with more lard and folding it.
It's typical to put some prosciutto crudo or vegetables or cheese inside it, fold it and GNAM!
Absolutely heavenly!
