Well it's a luna buona and Renata, 74, my veg mentor in the village is erecting lo nylon to cover the insalata she has just sown. This means I'm off the pace, because I have still got to buy some plastic to replace the piece which wore out last year.
I know she'll give me as much salad as we want even if I don't sow any, but I really enjoy the veg plot and really want to show the locals that we are "trying", so I must get out there tomorrow and get to it.
All made me think - who's doing what in their orto? I bet down south you're already enjoying fresh insalata??
Also, does anyone else use "la luna" as a guide to sowing/harvesting. I even have copied the locals who will only fell trees (for wood) in a luna buona because it stops the felled pieces continuing to grow and therby losen the bark etc.
If la luna is powerful enough to move the oceans it must have some effect mustn't it?
