8006 Pregnant or with young children, need advice?
Hello Everyone,
After living in Italy for the last four years with my husand and 3 young children. It has became obvious that there is a severe lack of educational health advice for pregnant women or young mothers.
As a former Health visitor, Midwife and Nurse for over 18yrs in England I was able to give advice to many pregnant women and young mothers. This part of the NHS was invaulable service for many women. Unfortunitly this doesn't exist in Italy and many Italians rely upon their mothers advice which isn't always the best.
I am not putting down the Italian health care system nor am I saying Italian mums advice isnt good, but I can imagine what it must be like for foreign pregnant women or mothers with young children to move to Italy and be without easy access to professional advice in their own language.
If you are a pregnant mum or young mother living in Italy and have some questions please contact me and I will try to answer them clearly and honestly. Even if its to say you need to see a doctor. It will be free advice and I will try to give you any help I can.
You can contact me through my email at my website address.
Regards,
Maria
