1672 What to do

with cats when we travel away from our (soon to be) Italian home?

Assuming they are all settled down and at home, we were wondering what other permanent residents (in Puglia) do about cats when they have to travel away for a while.

Here in the UK the cats have free access (cat flap) and neighbours come in and feed them if we are away.

Our new home is quite isolated and we were thinking of not having a cat flap (there are a lot of strays near us). Are there such things as catteries or pet sitters in Puglia?
