One of Italy's best-known churchmen, Naples Archbishop Crescenzio Sepe, is enjoying the popular social networking site Facebook.
''I'm getting 200 new friends every day,'' the cardinal said Tuesday.
''You have to go where the people are and if the people are on Facebook you go there too''.
Sepe, who set up his page at the weekend, said he was getting messages in ''all the languages of the world''.
''But Neapolitan is still the most beautiful,'' he said.
Sepe, 65, headed the Vatican's department ''for the Evangelization of Peoples'' until Pope Benedict XVI named him archbishop of the southern Italian city two years ago.
He appears regularly on television and especially when the 'Miracle of San Gennaro' occurs three times a year in the city cathedral.
Earlier in his career Sepe served as a priest in Italy and Brazil.
He speaks English, French and Spanish.
