(ANSA) - An 11-year-old child was killed late Wednesday by a World War II bomb he found while playing with friends.
The explosion took place in the nearby town of San Fantino when Angelo Ficara picked up the bomb and then ran hugging it to hs chest, police said.
Police immediately cordoned off the area to see if other devices were in the area and to recompose the boy's body, parts of which were found as much as 50 meters apart.
