Rooms
Genius Loci welcomes you to eight Classic or Deluxe elegantly refined “rooms with a view” in which modern comforts blend seamlessly with the warm, rustic elegance of fine antique furnishings from the family estate. Every window boasts sweeping views of gorgeous gently rolling hills, fields of sunflowers, lush vineyards, majestic olive groves, stately oaks, as well as the picturesque hill towns of Assisi, Spello and Montefalco.
All the spacious, beautifully-appointed guest rooms have fully-tiled en-suite bathrooms with Carrara marble vanities, glass-enclosed stall showers and/or bathtubs and European king-sized beds.

At Genius Loci you have so much more than just your beautiful room. Guests enjoy the inviting and comfortable Library, the welcoming conversation area at the bar area, the spacious solarium and stunning pool area, the sitting areas on the spacious panoramic porch with its vast, stunning and remarkable views. From our prestigious vineyards and olive trees on the property, we produce four D.O.C. wines and organic extra virgin olive oil.

Description
Genius Loci is the creation of the Tacconi family, a bilingual and bicultural Umbrian-American family. It is the stunning result of Michael and Maurizio’s painstaking restoration of an 1880s farmhouse in which the antique stones and bricks, hand-hewn oak beams and terracotta floors have been brought back to their original splendor. The operation of Genius Loci is very much a family affair, with Michael as your Manager and Mary and Maurizio also taking part in making the Inn the unique and amazing retreat it is.

Place to visit
Genius Loci is located in the very heart, the most beautiful area of Umbria, in the midst of the prestigious wine country of Sagrantino D.O.C. Most of the main places of interest are very close (Bevagna, Montefalco, Spello, Assisi, Spoleto, Perugia, Orvieto, Norcia, the Benedictine abbeys, the Marmore Waterfalls).
