Cestineria Antonello Utzeri
Antonello Utzeri (1965) has learned the art of basket weaving in Villaputzu from Mario Atzori; since 2002 he has turned this talent into his job. For his works, he uses local materials that he gathers from the area of Sarrabus: willow, wild olive, myrtle and reed.
For several years, in addition to the creation of traditional baskets, he also collaborates with the designers of Imago Mundi, innovative projects, which are admired at a global level and published in the most prestigious furniture magazines.
The items are made with the typical elements of Italy and a weaving technique is employed. Baskets, lighting fixtures, linen baskets and bottle coverings are among the variety of products made by Antonello Utzeri.
