2024 Language Immersion Program in Puglia

The program is divided into Italian lessons in the morning and cultural activities in the afternoon, like cooking class with grandmother, wine tasting, excursions to the most beautiful spots in Puglia, afternoons spent on the secret beach, and much more.

We are in Alberobello, where you will live for two weeks. The city is famous around the world for its typical “trulli” homes, due to the conical roof and cylindrical shape, built using just polished drystone. These constructions, which seem spawned from the mind of a fantasy writer, were once the typical home for peasant families in Alberobello.

Italian Course:

The Italian course consist in  20 lessons weekly (from 9.00 a.m. to 12.40 p.m.) in classes that don’t exceed 4-5 people, in order to conserve the quality of the lesson. Our teachers are highly qualified and certified in teaching Italian as a foreign language and we provide big classrooms with smart tv and large blackboard for our students. 

What we will do in the afternoon?

We do not plan just activities, but real experiences in Italian culture. Our mission is to make you experience a true cultural immersion where practice Italian every day and fully enjoy your holiday! 

For example: one day we will make orecchiette at Grandma Maria’s house, or another day do an Italian lesson at the local market. We will visit Matera, the city made up of the caves, or Lecce, the Florence of the south, or Polignano a mare, Locorotondo, and Alberobello. Another day will do a real wine tasting in old “Masseria “ (Apulian farm) or visit an extra virgin oil mill. And why not write about our “benvenuto aperitivo” a real chance for us to get to know one another and make our students feel immediately at home away from home.

During your stay, you will be welcomed in a friendly and informal environment where you will have the feeling from the first day of being at home. Andrea (the director), and Paola (his partner), will take care of every detail, and they will make your language holiday unforgettable.

Accommodation

You will live in Alberobello, where you relax, live slowly, and enjoy la "dolce vita" maybe drinking a cappuccino or hanging out at the pool. We offer different accommodations for different experiences: a "trullo" (the typical Apulian stone house) in the countryside with a pool, a comfortable hotel in the center, a private and big apartment a few steps from the school, or a shared apartment with others students or homestay with an Italian family.
