On Thursday January 27th, 51 autographed designer sketches are headed to the auction block. The drawings, by leading-contemporary designers, will be auctioned off in Turin by the CEO of Sotheby’s Italia. The pieces are all part of a collection titled “Hand of the Designer,” that were donated in order to raise funds for art and architecture foundations in Milan and Venice.
The project was made possible by 150 Italian and International designers who contributed their art to FAI (Italian National Trust). Each sketch reveals the individual aesthetic of the particular contemporary creator- resulting in a collection that showcases a wide array of colors of forms.
The final 51 sketches go on sale at 6:30 on Thursday. Even if you can't make it to Turin, you can see all the beautiful "Hand of the Designer"drawings online.
