Serie A club Catania on Wednesday named Gianluca Atzori coach in place of Walter Zenga who moved across Sicily to Palermo last week.
Atzori, 38, was Zenga's assistant in 2007-2008 before coaching third division side Ravenna last season.
Atzori, a former defender for Ravenna, Empoli and Palermo, is the latest rookie to take over a Serie A team after Ciro Ferrara at Juve, Leonardo at Milan and Angelo Gregucci at Atalanta.
