Britain’s Daily Star is reporting that Hollywood star George Clooney has at last popped the question to Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis and that the pair are to marry next Thursday.
The rumour, which first appeared in the Italian magazine Chi, appears to have started because a gazebo is being built in the grounds of the Villa Oleandra, the couple’s home on Lake Como.
Canalis is reported to have chosen a Roberto Cavalli dress for the ceremony. However, the Gossip Cop site refutes the rumour.
Gossip columnists have been reporting for some time that the Villa Oleandra is to be sold and Clooney has issued denials. However, Canalis is said to want a home that will afford the couple more privacy than the Villa.
