If a visit to the Colosseum feels magical enough during daytime, imagine what it would be like at night, perhaps under the moonlight... Well, get ready for the experience because you now have the chance to reserve an evening guided visit to the Colosseum’s underground areas, galleries and interior arches, accompanied by an archeologist.
This year’s edition of “La luna sul Colosseo” (Moon over the Colosseum) has increased the number of night openings to four a week, following the success of last year, with almost 20,000 visitors: Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 8:10 pm to midnight (last entry at 10:40 pm).
Visitors can enter the Colosseum from the north gate, in front of the Colle Oppio. Tours take 75 minutes, are organized in groups of maximum 25 people, and are held in Italian and English.
The Colosseum night tours continue until October 10, 2015.
