Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has released a baby fragrance.
The company says that the new perfume is part of its “continued commitment” to the concept of the family, which it says is central to its designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
The fashion house says: “We all know that children smell beautiful, and there’s no need to cover up their natural scent, in fact the Dolce & Gabbana Baby Fragrance has been designed to accentuate that natural baby smell, making them even more irresistible, and heart meltingly sweet.
“The notes of bergamot, honey and musk serve to complement that baby smell which is sure to rouse parental instincts in even the most adamant singletons amongst us.”
Designer Gabbana posted a photo of the new fragrance on the online photo-sharing and social-networking service, Instagram, with the caption: “❤❤❤ per i bambini!!!” (for babies). The fragrance comes in a bottle sporting an image of a putto, which Dolce & Gabbana calls “the emblem of innocence”.
The 100% alcohol free, Dolce & Gabbana Baby Fragrance is available exclusively at the Dolce & Gabbana Boutique Corso Venezia 7 concept store in Milan, which is dedicated to families. A 50ml bottle is reported to cost approximately US$45/£28.
