Chocolate lovers, brace yourselves for 10 days of absolute chocolate feasting: the annual Eurochocolate Festival returns to Perugia for its 21st edition.
The event, one of the largest chocolate festivals in Europe and Italy’s most important, begins today. Stands, exhibitions, chocolate sculptures, workshops, and of course tastings will transform the streets of the historic center of Perugia into chocolate heaven.
Eurochocolate adopts a different theme every year and in 2014 the focus is on Eurochocolate’s presence at Milan’s Expo 2015 next year. Eurochocolate will in fact be the main project advisor for the “Cluster of Cocoa and Chocolate” and, in a sort of Expo preview, it has recreated an Expo Chocolate area in Piazza IV Novembre, where the main events are set to take place, including cooking shows, workshops and guided tastings.
Chocolate makers displaying their delicious offerings include Perugina, Caffarel and Pernigotti.
Eurochocolate continues until October 26. For more information, visit the Eurochocolate website.
