A group of American artists has cast George Clooney as ‘God’s gift to women’ in a new mural. Hoping to capture the actor’s attention, Studio Vertu finished a depiction of Clooney as Adam in Michelangelo’s famous Sistine Chapel.
The artists printed their faux freco onto 33 Italian marble tiles to pay further homage to the country that inspired the work.
The Clooney version, is however, slightly censored in comparison to the Vatican’s original painted ceiling. Not wanting to flatter or insult, the Americanized frieze deliberately ends at the waist.
The 4-by-10-foot mural is on display in Cincinnati, where George Clooney is currently filming a new movie. The artists are hoping that the a-lister might want to take the piece back to is Italian villa.
