Even this year, Italian designers proved a popular choice for stars at last night’s Golden Globe awards in Los Angeles. Actors and actresses hit the red carpet in looks from Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Cavalli, Valentino and, of course, Armani.
The Los Angeles Times concluded that Armani ruled the red carpet even at this edition of the awards. The Italian designer has been a presence on the red carpet ever since he dressed Jodie Foster for the Academy Award ceremony way back in 1990. Last night, Foster received the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and for the occasion she chose again a stunning Armani navy blue beaded gown with interesting looking tile-like paillettes on the halter straps.

And many other stars went for Armani gowns; Olivia Munn, wore a strapless gown with turquoise herringbone beading on the bodice while for her role as Miss Golden Globe, Francesca Eastwood chose a gorgeous white lace gown.
With George Clooney on her arm, Stacy Keibler arrived on the red carpet looking every bit the bombshell, wearing a black strapless gown by Armani Privé — which apparently was "hot off a plane from Paris."

In true Armani style, the designs of these wonderful gowns are measured, “simple” and yet stunningly elegant.
Actress Claire Danes picked up the award for Best Actress, wearing a sexy red Versace gown and Halle Berry wore a one-shouldered Atelier Versace Fall 2012 gown with an abstract pink pattern.

Valentino was the right choice for Morena Baccarin who wore a navy blue silk chiffon pleated gown with beaded black front panel by Valentino Haute Couture and 14-year-old actress Ariel Winter who kept it cute with a pastel printed Valentino dress.
Two stars walked the red carpet in Dolce & Gabbana gowns, actress Helen Hunt wore a nude beaded tulle gown while Megan Fox flaunted her curves in a form-fitting light pink D&G dress.
Hayden Panettiere
Other Golden Globe stars wore gowns by Italian designers: actress Hayden Panettiere wearing baby pink gown by Roberto Cavalli which evoked old Hollywood glamour and presenter Salma Hayek who wore a Gucci Premiere midnight blue silk georgette strapless gown fully embroidered with micro glass beads.
