The Italian Food & Wine Festival, hosted by Identità Golose and Merano WineFestival, is set to begin tomorrow, October 14, at Eataly Chicago.
The three-day event will showcase the great wines and renowned cuisine of Italy and will feature acclaimed Italian and American chefs, including Lidia Bastianich and Davide Oldani.
On the opening night, a four-course dinner will be served, prepared by two Italian chefs, Ugo Alciati and Davide Oldani, and two Eataly chefs, Executive Chef Alex Pilas and Pastry Chef Katia Delogu. Lidia Bastianich will lead the team. The dinner will be held at the Baffo restaurant inside Eataly Chicago.
On October 15, the Merano WineFestival will host a wine tasting event, pairing 100 wines from the most acclaimed Italian wineries, accompanied by all-Italian finger food, at La Scuola-Eataly Chicago’s cooking school. The tasting will be led by the winemakers themselves.
The Italian Food&Wine Festival will also feature two chef lessons, each held by one Italian and one American chef. The lessons will focus on one key ingredient: truffle for the first one, rice for the second one. The seminars will take place inside La Scuola.
The Italian Food&Wine Festival at Eataly Chicago follows a similar event held at Eataly New York October 9-12.
Tickets to the single events can be purchased on the Eataly Chicago website.
