È buono come il pane - He’s a good person
Avere la botte piena e la moglie ubriaca - To have your cake and eat it
Botte piccola fa vino buono - Literally - a small cask makes good wine - but equivalent to the English ‘Good things come in small packages’
Ridi che la mamma ha fatto gli gnocchi - Ironic expression which means keep on laughing (even if you think there’s nothing funny to laugh at).
