(ANSA) - Electricity and gas bills in Italy are expected to increase by respectively 5.0 pct and 3.5 pct as of October 1, 2005 compared to the previous three months, according to Italian private research company Ricerche Industriali ed Energetiche (RIE).
The annual spending of the Italian families will grow by 47 euro ($57.9) as of October 2005. The two month electricity bill of a family which consumes 225 kW monthly will rise by 2.9 euro ($3.6) compared to the previous quarter, while its annual spending on electricity will go up by 17.6 euro ($21.7).
Monthly gas bill of the families with an annual consumption of 1,400 cu m gas will rise by 2.4 euro ($3.0), while the annual bill will increase by 29.4 euro ($36.2).
