After many international versions, Andrea Ponzoni from Lecco successfully completed his “Kiss Me, I’m Italian” mission in China.
A graduate of Chinese language, the 25-year-old won the initial resistance from a culture reluctant to show affection in public and managed to be kissed by several Chinese passers-by in Beijing.
“The idea came after seeing similar videos by the Irish and the Spanish, who were asking to make it an international series which has now become viral,” said Ponzoni, who is currently in China to perfect his Chinese.
