Italy fans will have to wait and see if Giuseppe Rossi gets a chance to add to his two-goal tally in the Confederations Cup against Egypt Thursday, coach Marcello Lippi said Wednesday.
''You'll find out whether Rossi's playing when the team takes the field,'' Lippi told reporters when asked about the hero of Italy's 3-1 comeback win over the United States.
''There will be changes, but I'm not going to tell you what''.
Asked about Italy's largely lacklustre display before Rossi's equaliser changed the momentum of the game, Lippi replied: ''Yes, we didn't play that well. We will play better''.
The 22-year-old Rossi, who electrified Azzurri fans with his stunning brace on Monday, is widely expected to get his first start against Egypt, who gave Brazil a scare in a 3-4 defeat Monday.
The showdown between world champions Italy and the South American giants is on Sunday.
Inspirational captain Fabio Cannavaro is fit and trained with the squad Wednesday, when Rossi had a run-out up front alongside Luca Toni and Fabio Quagliarella.
