Marcello Mastroianni’s countryside home in Tuscany has been put up for sale for 1.2 million euros.
The 18th century villa, bought by the legendary Italian actor in 1974, is located in Pescaglia, about 15 kilometers north-west of Lucca, and features views over the surrounding hills.
The decision to sell the property, which is advertised on the real estate website Immobiliare.it, came from Mastroianni’s daughters, Chiara and Barbara. The three-story villa measures 900 square meters, and includes a wine cellar, an outdoor oven, olive groves, vineyards, a tower, and even a small church.
Mastroianni, best-known for his role in Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita and 8 ½, liked to spend time at the villa with his family and with many glamourous guests.
