Cala degli Infreschi in Marina di Camerota (Salerno) is Italy’s 2014 most beautiful beach, as awarded by the competition organized by Italian environmentalist association Legambiente. The beach in the Cilento area of Campania is a natural inlet in the form of an arc with crystal clear waters and can be reached by boat or through one of the trails immersed in the Mediterranean scrub.
It is the second consecutive year that a beach in the Cilento area has won Legambiente’s best beach award (it was Cala Bianca in 2013).
The 20 best beaches were selected by cross-checking votes cast on the Legambiente’s website and Facebook page and the “Blue Guide 2014” on the best Italian beaches published by Legambiente and Touring Club.
