Milan women's fashion week kicked off last Wednesday and will run until the 28th of February. The event includes 72 catwalks and 137 collections showcasing the best of fashion and will be attended by over 2,000 international journalists.
Even this year, all fashion-related events will be hosted in the city's historic venues to bring fashion shows closer to the heart of the city and to people.
The network of different locations spread around the city includes the Giureconsulti Palace in via dei Mercanti 2, which is the fashion hub, the Loggia dei Mercanti, Palazzo Clerici and the Circolo Filologico. But this year, for the first time, the ancient Sforzesco Castle, one of the most iconic buildings in the fashion capital, was chosen as a main venue for fashion shows and events. A special marquee set up in the Piazza delle Armi will host the the biggest names in Italian fashion and will become the new permanent location for Milan fashion shows.
