During the next six days, coffee and design lovers in Milan are guaranteed to have a good time with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile event kicking in and the so-called Mumac Bee traveling around the city to offer cups of espresso.
The Salone del Mobile (Milan Furniture Fair) and Fuori Salone, or Milano Design Week, take place annually in Milan and together they form the most important design and furniture trade fairs in the world, showcasing the latest products and home furnishings from around the world.
For the occasion, MUMAC, the museum of coffee-making machines, has set up an Ape Piaggio Car to become a “traveling coffee shop” equipped with a E61 Legend espresso machine, dispensing free coffee around the streets of Milan's design district. The idea is to make the museum, which hosts the world’s largest collection of professional espresso machines, better known to the general public.
